4. Eligibility
4.1. The competition is open to architects and students of architecture in UIA Member countries.
4.1.1. PROFESSIONAL(P): Architects holding a professional qualification recognized by the UIA Member Section of his/her country may take part in the national competition organized in his/her country.
4.1.2. STUDENT(S): All students attending a school of architecture recognized by the UIA Member Section of his/her country, may take part in the national competition organized in his/her country.
4.2. Architects and Students in the member sections which, for technical or any other reasons, do not participate in the competition can participate in the Regional groups that will be created for each Region (if necessary) for each of the two categories P and S.
- “Student” includes those who will be graduating from a school of architecture recognized by the UIA Member Section of his/her country on or before April, 2009.
- “Professional” means those who are licensed to practice and/or currently working in architectural offices after graduating or receiving a diploma from a school of architecture.
- Participants whose member section is not participating in the CCIII competition may register to the region to which his/her member section belongs.
- The region to which a member section belongs can be found on the UIA home page, www.uia-architectes.org.
7. Registration
7.1. Registration takes place by filling in the special electronic registration form available at the internet address www.celebcities3.org
7.2. Competition participants shall make the payment of the registration fee at the time when they register. The registration fee for the competition is 80 euro for the professionals and 20 euro for the students. The registration fee is not refundable and shall be made only by Paypal.
7.3. Participants shall indicate his/her personal details and, where applicable, those of the members of the design group, the category chosen (Professional or Student) and the country of the leader of the group.
- One registration fee is required to be made for each project submitted, regardless of whether the participant is an individual or a group.
- The competition site, www.celebcities3.org, will open for registration and simultaneous transmission of the entries on May 5, 2009. Please refer to the competition calendar at article 9 of the competition regulations.
- The registration and simultaneous transmission can be made only via internet on the CCIII competition website, www.celebcities3.org. No e-mail request will be answered.
11. Documentation Requirement
11.1. The projects, drawn up with free technique, shall be transmitted, following the indications described in 11.6. below, and shall be presented on 3 tables in UNI A3 (cm 29,70 x 42,00), paged up following the technical specifications that will be published on the website. Tables 1 and 2 will contain the graphic elements, table 3 the description (when the mother language is English or French, half the panel will remain blank).
11.2. The project tables shall contain:
11.2.1. The actual state of the space of the site chosen (free presentation, drawings, pictures).
11.2.2. The project proposal, complete with the principal plans, sections, elevation, drawings, etc.
11.2.3 The written explanation (font: Verdana, 12 pt) of a maximum of 250 words /1.000 characters for each language used.
11.3. The scale of the representations is free and will depend on the dimensions of the subject.
11.4. The proposals, must not concern works already realized or under realization of they will be excluded.
11.5. Projects that have already received a prize or an award will not be eligible for this competition.
11.6. The project documents must be produced and transmitted in Adobe Acrobat PDF form, respecting the technical specifications that will be published on the site, www.celebcities3.org
- There is no restriction on site selection.

- The list of the jury will be made public on the CCIII competition website www.celebcities3.org.

A.: Please try again. Anyway the documents will also be sent by email on request. To correctly read the PDF document we recommend to download and use the latest available version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (www.adobe.com)

Q.: Project file creation
A.: Please read carefully the instructions in the Documents section of the web site. You must send only one PDF file composed of three A3 format pages.
Q.: Maximum size of the project file
A.: The limit on the size of the PDF file is 60 Mb, but we recommend to try to avoid going over 10-15 Mb, to minimize risks due to slow internet connections during the project transmission.
Q.: Project transmission
A.: Please read instructions in the Documents section of the web site. After registration you will receive an email containing the unique address (URL) that you must use to continue the registration and trasmission procedure. Using that address you will be able to access your personal page, add group members and transmit your PDF project. The project can be even sent more than one time (the last received is the valid one). We strongly recommend to anticipate the registration and trasmission, avoiding the last day. Due to the big amount of operations, we cannot assure that the server will not be too busy to satisfy your request before the closing time !
